First of all, sleep itself is a part of every person’s day that is as necessary to the health of the body and mind as is exercise and good diet. So while the body is busy repairing any damaged muscles, tissues and fibres that occurred while you were awake and exercising, it is continuing to burn calories while it implements those repairs.
